History
Barrel Series: Inspired by the traditional method of aging wine in oak barrels.
In autumn 2019, during the course of our product development, we met Nadine, a renowned winemaker in Beaune, Burgundy, who shared her knowledge of winemaking and barrel aging with us. Our challenge was to harmonise the natural acidity of SAKE with the complex, fruity aromas of Burgundy barrels to create a product that embodies the fusion of French and Japanese cultures.
CHARACTERISTICS
This SAKE is aged in oak barrels used for Pinot Noir red wine from the famous Jacque Prieur winery in Burgundy. It has a thick, rich aroma of cassis and vanilla, with a strong body with acidity. It goes perfectly with meat dishes, washed cheeses, and desserts.
