Violets, cassis, pleasant sweetness, the arrival of spring
It combines the sweet and ephemeral scent of violet flowers with the heavy berry flavor of cassis. The swelling of the body and the mellow taste is expressed by using sake as a base, and the acidity and astringency of cassis are added to make a sweet SAKE liqueur with a comfortable balance.
In the charming medieval village of Tourrettes-Sur-Loup in the Côte d’Azur region, violet cultivation began around 1880, making it the only region in France where violets are the main crop. The cultivated land is a small terraced field and the access of machines is difficult, so the cultivation work is basically done manually. Only Victoria, a fragrant variety, is cultivated, and the violets that are carefully grown one by one are also processed into perfumes and sweets.
