A new trend for summer 2022: Rosé Saké made from black rice. We use the rice only to express the colour of Rosé and the taste!


This sake has a pleasant nutty aroma derived from black rice. The aroma of the black rice grain and alcohol content are both moderate and light, so that it can be enjoyed during the hot summer season, perfect for a nice drink on a terrace. 

- ABV (alcohol by volume): 13%
- Recommended storage temperature: 5°C
- Recommended temperature when enjoying: between 10°C and 12°C

Black rice × ROSÉ SAKÉ

Black rice variety: Artemide (cultivated in Camargue, France). The black rice variety we used for this saké was developed in Italy in 2005, and has a dark, almost black colour. It is also rich in polyphenols, especially anthocyanins. When cooked, it has aromas such as hazelnut, and dried fruit, with a flavour similar to oven-baked bread. The texture is soft, mineral-rich, and nutritious.


We are WAKAZE, a sake start-up that has been brewing sake with French ingredients since 2019. With the aim of bringing SAKÉ to the tables of the world, we are challenging the conventional wisdom while respecting tradition. In 2020 we were awarded the platinum prize at the Kura master sake competition.
